Little Turtles
Little Turtle Program overview (ages 7 & 8):
The Little Turtle Program is a PRE Junior Guard Program, a non competitive introduction to the beach and ocean environment. The Participants will be learning from a Del Mar Junior Lifeguard Instructor . The main focus will be learning and FUN; giving younger children a positive experience at the beach and hopefully they will want to graduate from the Little Turtle Program and become a Del Mar Junior Lifeguard at age 9.
DMJG/LT Xtended Care Program ( Ages 7 - 15 )
June 21st - Aug 12th
9:30 - 12:30 for JGs participating in PM sessions
11:15 - 2:30 for JGs and LTs participating in the AM sessions
Xtended Care is open to children registered and enrolled in the DMJG/LT program. DMJG/LT uniform must be worn during Xtended care hours. Xtended Care participants will be required to wear a special orange colored jersey (over their uniform) for easy recognition and safety: provided for them daily by the program.
JGs and LTs will be supervised on the beach at 29th St. by DMJG Instructor and staff members. Participants in Xtended Care will be supervised during beach games, free swim (includes surfing, boogie boarding) and snack time.
Supervised drop off and pick up of participants will occur at the DMJG drop off/ pick up area at North Beach.

Your Little Turtle must be 7 years old on or before the last day of the session you wish to enroll in.

Refunds and Switching Sessions
Refunds: 1. Between March 1 and June 7, 2010 half of the participant fee will be refunded in the event a participant must cancel. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER JUNE 7, 2010. A written request including the reason for cancellation must be postmarked on or before June 7, 2010 and submitted to Turtleguard Inc. PO Box 494; Cardiff, CA 92007. Fees are nontransferable. Participants dismissed from the program are not eligible for refunds.
2. No refunds will be issued to first time participants who do not attempt the swim test during the designated dates and times for 2010. JGs/LTs who do not pass the swim test will be issued a refund less $50.00 deposit. All refund instructions and deadlines apply.
Switching Sessions: A $50 processing fee will apply toward each Junior Guard/ Little Turtle who changes sessions. A written request must be submitted to Turtleguard Inc.; PO Box 494; Cardiff CA 92007; with the $50 processing fee [payable to Turtleguard Inc.] and any additional session fees. Requests will only be honored in the event there is space available in the session the Junior Guard/ Little Turtle wishes to switch to.
