Uniforms must be picked up before the first day of session at Beach Kids/City Kids.

BOARD SHORTS/GIRLS SWIM SUITS/BOYS JAMMERS

As part of the DMJG uniform each participant must purchase a pair of uniform shorts. Junior guards will have a choice of many sizes of approved navy blue uniform shorts: a boys and girls cut will be offered. Shorts are high quality, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Approved uniform shorts are only available at Beach Kids/City Kids. Girls must also purchase a navy swim style one piece or two piece swimsuit available at Beach Kids/City Kids. Boys Jammers (to wear underneath boardshorts, OPTIONAL) are available as well.

Extra Uniform Items (available for purchase):

Junior guards have the option of purchasing DMJG sweatshirts, hats, jammers, and rash guards. These items are available at Beach Kids/City Kids. Should they wish to wear there own sweatshirt or other clothing in addition to their uniform, it must be of good taste and functional. Wetsuits may be worn (and are a great idea for young people who get cold easily) but an official DMJG rash guard must be worn over it for identification purposes.

Junior Guard Uniform Policy:

The Del Mar Junior Lifeguard uniform must be worn EVERY DAY. The uniform consists of navy blue uniform trunks (or specified uniform board shorts) and the DMJG Program uniform T-shirt. Girls must also wear a navy blue swim-style swimsuit (no string bikinis). These can be purchased at Beach Kids/City Kids. NO boxer shorts will be worn underneath boys uniform trunks/shorts. Instead, they can wear Jammers or a Speedo, which can be purchased at Beach Kids/City Kids.
